In our latest project for HDG, we faced a unique challenge with installing solar shades in two model units. These shades were mounted 5.5 inches from the wall, which posed a dilemma for the curtain installation. Mounting the curtains on regular rods would have extended them 8.5 inches from the back wall, potentially creating a bulky appearance.
To achieve a sleeker look, we opted for side panels mounted on thin rods, positioned as close as possible to the existing white flat fascia shades.
The curtains were crafted from Fabricut’s “Humacao/Bone” fabric—an excellent choice for drapery. This material offers a semi-sheer, heavy yet soft feel. Post-installation, a light steaming ensured that the curtain folds were uniform and beautifully draped, perfectly complementing the space.
